Charley Webb forced to deny pregnancy after mistaken ‘gender reveal’ receives thousands of messages

Charley Webb had to deny she was pregnant after a sweet birthday video was mistaken for a ‘gender reveal’. The former Emmerdale actress took to Instagram to mark her husband’s birthday on Thursday (May 5).
The Debbie Dingle star celebrated her husband Matthew Wolfenden’s 42nd birthday by popping a confetti cannon in their garden with their three children – Buster, 12, Bowie, 6 and Ace, 2.
It showed the family of five dressed in their pajamas and dressing gowns as they marveled at the shower of confetti. “Happy birthday @matthewwolfenden55,” Charley captioned simply.

However, the 34-year-old’s hundreds of thousands of followers and friends thought it was a gender reveal and it was their way of announcing baby number four was in road.
Charley, from Bury, was quick to set the record straight. She shared a video on her Instagram Story of her feet as she walked through her house in Ugg boots. She wrote: “2 things. 1 – This is not a gender reveal, I got 58,013 messages. Sorry about that.” She then quickly goes on: “2 – When does the heat wave start?
Matthew, who plays Emmerdale’s David Metcalfe, also got a message from his co-star and on-screen girlfriend Isabel Hodgins, who plays Victoria Barton in the ITV soap opera. She shared a video of Matthew driving while Daft Punk’s Around the World played in the car while a snap showed Matthew sitting in a child seat attached to a bicycle and another of him depicting David in a hospital scene, with a medical gown.

She also shared a throwback snap of the pair back in 2013 alongside a gushing tribute. “Happy birthday @matthewwolfenden55 To this brilliant human who makes me laugh every day,” before adding, “I love you,” alongside a photo of Matthew looking fed up in an orange beanie and t- gray shirt.
Earlier this week, Charley stunned fans when she shared the sweet way her husband of four years prepared his family for their morning. There were bowls, cups and a milk frother, all with a piece of paper on top with a note on what they should do. A note read, “For Bowie, just add milk. Daddy x,” while the one on the mug read, “Buster, just add hot water. Daddy x.”

But according to Charley, fans were quick to point out a change in one of the posts as the father-of-three referred to himself in the note to his two-year-old son, Ace, as “Matthew “. Taking to her Instagram Story later, the Debbie Dingle actress filmed a video in her car and told her 562,000 followers: ‘I got so many messages saying why Matthew’s note says Ace’ Love Matthew’ not ‘Dad’…
“It’s because Ace decided he wasn’t going to call him daddy anymore. He calls him Matthew. Not all the time…but probably 95% of the time and because he knows Matty doesn’t don’t like it, he does it even more. It’s quite funny.
